Update: 15 January 2019, Tuesday
There we have it folks. South Africa has crushed Pakistan in the last test by 107 runs and taken the series 3-0.
After bowling Pakistan out by 294 in their second innings of day three, the South Africans only needed 41 in the last day to wrap up a clean victory, winning the test series 2-0. We now head to Johannesburg for the third and last test starting from 11 January @ 10:00SAST.
South Africa chased down the 149 run target with six wickets left in the bag to take a 1-0 lead in the series. We now head to Cape Town for the second test starting from 3 January @ 10:30SAST.
Pakistan twice suffered fourth-innings batting collapses in losing a recent Test series against New Zealand and they’ve acknowledged that posting competitive totals was crucial if they are to match the hosts this time. South Africa’s bowling will be spearheaded by Kagiso Rabada and Dale Steyn having to do without the retired Morne Morkel and Lungi Ngidi.
The three match Test series kicks off Wednesday, December 26 and run’s through to the 15th of January, 2019.
Live coverage will be available through Fox Sports (Australia), SonyLIV (India and Pakistan), HotStar (India), PTV Sports (Pakistan), and SuperSport (South Africa). Here are the match coverage breakdown for the different countries:
