Dear customer,
I have some very exciting news that will require you to update or modify your VPN or SmartDNS connection.
What does this mean?
I am delighted to inform you that we are merging with Le VPN, one of the leading global VPN providers, which will result in a better service and lower cost for you.
Some of the many benefits include:
Improved Infrastructure: Le VPN have invested heavily in their back end servers and have considerably more servers in more countries.
Better Applications: Le VPN provides their own applications for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android including many features that were missing from My Private Network.
Truly Global Presence: Le VPN has servers in 114 countries and these will be available to all customers including those on our single country plan.
Better Support: Le VPN’s helpdesk operates around the clock, 24/7/365.
Same Price or Better: you can continue to renew with Le VPN at your current price or move to their pricing model, whichever works best for you.
In addition to this, all customers will receive one month free in addition to their current plan as a thank you for switching over.
When do I need to switch over?
You will need to switch over to Le VPN this week. Your Le VPN account will be automatically activated with your existing credentials before the 24th of January, 2019 and you will receive an email from Le VPN confirming this.
How do I switch over?
All you need to do is download the Le VPN software here and use your current credentials to login:
We’ve prepared a guide to take you through the process which you can view here:
My Private Network merging with Le VPN Guide
Why is this happening?
I’ve saved the hardest question for last!
To be honest, being a niche VPN provider in a very competitive market has been a struggle and in recent years we have not been able to attract sufficient new customers to our service. This has led to a decrease in the investment we have been able to make to our infrastructure, applications and support. We have always strived to provide the best possible service and ultimately it has got to the point where the only way we can do this is to merge with a bigger organisation.
With over ten years experience of providing VPN services, I looked at all of our competitors and ultimately chose Le VPN as the best fit for our existing customers, based primarily on the following reasons:
The Right Size: whilst Le VPN are considerably larger than us, this is still a significant opportunity for them and therefore they are 100% committed to making the transition work.
Europe Focused: they have a European management team with the same goals and business values as our own.
Trustworthy: the same rigorous approach to security and privacy.
Quality Service: they provide a bigger and better service, in almost every regard, more staff, more investment, more servers, more countries.
This is not a decision that I have taken lightly. I started My Private Network over ten years ago and have worked on it every day since. Joining Le VPN will be a change, but I firmly believe it will be a change for the better and allow us to continue to provide a world class service.
As always, if you have any questions or queries, my support team and I will be ready to answer them.
Thank you for your custom!
Yours Sincerely,
Jon Gittoes
Managing Director for My Private Network
