Some programmes can only be broadcast live on terrestrial radio, but not on the internet.
Because of this, if you’re listening to the radio, the live broadcast would proceed as it normally does, whereas if you switch to their internet streaming service, it won’t work. Usually, the online radio will be working fine after a live event is over.
I am afraid this is just down to licensing restrictions and there is nothing we can do about it. You’ll notice similar problems on some of their live shows, you can be watching BBC1 LIVE on iPlayer and then when a different show begins, iPlayer goes off air, this is most noticeable with non-BBC content and sporting events.
