OS X Tunnelblick SSL connection update - 5th July 2016

On July 5th 2016 at 0500 GMT(0) we will be updating the settings on our alternative OpenVPN connections. If you’ve been using our non-standard OpenVPN connections, you will need to update your software / configuration on July 5th in order to continue to be able to connect.

Important: This article is only applicable to our customers who have
been using our non standard OpenVPN connections. Our standard OpenVPN (Tunnelblick),
PPTP, L2TP and IPSec connection are not affected by this change and will
continue to work as normal. If you’re not sure on the OpenVPN
connections that you’re using, Please send us a copy of your Tunnelblick log. To do so, please click on the Tunnelblick icon in
the taskbar and click on VPN Details, this will display the connection
log. Please click on Copy Diagnostic Info to Clipboard and paste
(CMD+V) it in a email body and send it to us at [email protected]

What’s happening?
We are upgrading the configuration on our non-standard OpenVPN connections.

Why?
To provide a better service, the new configuration uses the latest best practises to provide you with the best connection possible.

When?
The change will take place at 0500 GMT on July 5th 2016

Why me?
You are using or have used one of our non-standard OpenVPN connections and therefore may be affected by this change.

What do I need to do?

Go to our website as per the link below and download latest configuration file(s) which can be found at step# 3.

NOTE: PLEASE DO NOT UPDATE THE CONFIGURATION BEFORE 0500GMT ON THE
5TH OF JULY 2016 AS THE UPDATED ALTERNATE CONNECTIONS WILL NOT WORK
BEFORE THIS DATE.

Next, follow the instructions on step# 6 to install the new configuration file(s).  If you cannot Quit Tunnelblick, please Restart your Mac and try again.

If you would like to install our non-standard configuration file(s) , please download file(s)  from the link below based on the country plan that you’ve subscribed to. i.e. MPN USA.OVPN for USA.

I cannot Install the new configuration file(s)?

If you’re having problems installing the configuration file(s), we would suggest you to do a clean Tunnelblick re-installation.  To do so, please remove Tunnelblick application via its removal tool and the instructions can be found at the link below:

Next, Restart your computer. You
have now removed all traces of Tunnelblick off your computer, please
proceed with a clean installation of Tunnelblick by following our step
by step instructions on the following link:
